Thank you for visiting:)

Anonymous, the sides of the island are made of old tin. I bought the island at the Nashville Flea market from a vendor who builds furniture from old house parts. I just love old tin - and old stuff period!

It's good to see you again, Jo! I understand about the light issue. Our bedroom is *very* dark..no windows - just one glass door. I haven't painted in there yet. Have fun finding some fabric!

Thank you, Meg. Sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my time "decorating" anything since we still have so much work to do renovation-wise. But it's so much fun to play!

Pam, I appreciate the well wishes. Somedays I get tons of stuff done, other days, lol, not so much. C'est la vie, I suppose:) Thanks for dropping in...it's always good to see you!

Another Kim! Welcome to my little cottage! Yes, I'm the queen of thrift. Being a stay-at-home sure is wonderful, but it doesn't pay very well, lol, so I have to spend my pennies wisely. Goodwill and yardsales are my friend! I will be sure to check out your blog and your table. I love great finds!

Hello, Lily and welcome! I used Latex Satin on my cabinets. I would suggest a good bonding primer first after degreasing and sanding cabinets. Latex is so much easier to work with and is really easy to clean up, too:)

Thank you, DaisyKim, for the compliments. I'm so glad I've finally decided what to do about that backsplash (and hubs is, too, lol!). Hopefully it will turn out nice. We shall see!

Belle-ah, welcome! Yes, isn't it neverending? It's so comforting to know that I'm not the only one. Hubs says that when I'm "finished", I'll want to start over, hehe. I hope not!

Salix-tree, it's nice to "meet" you! I just love Carol's blog...I only discovered it yesterday. Isn't Kim Parker's art amazing? Her work makes me so HAPPY! Oh to have her talent!

Hello, Jen! Feel free to drop in and poke around anytime! I majorly need to reorganize my site and projects and photos to make browsing easier:) I live near Nashville now, and was born and raised here in Middle Tennessee as well. THanks for visiting!

A pleasure to meet you, Naturegirl! Oh to have a green thumb! I live vicariously through folks like you who have a knack at gardening. I'm "practicing" on my indoor plants, lol. Yes, books! One of my favorite things in the whole wide world is a wonderful stack of books by my side with a cup of hot coffee or tea, a blanket, and a rainy day. It just doesn't get any better than that! I look forward to your future visits!

How wonderful to see you, Jordana! I only realized just today that your new little one has arrived! Congratulations to you and your dear family...and thank you for the kind words about the cabinets! SO glad that project is behind me!!!

I appreciate each and every comment here...Thank You All!!Twice Rememberedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05563623309334980893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2707732077149679290.post-68073176950403493022006-10-19T16:27:00.000-05:002006-10-19T16:27:00.000-05:00Hello Kim,so nice to meet you!
