It was 46 degrees and today it'll be even warmer!

The difference in gypsum board thicknesses is a bummer. That's been my concern since taking down the original plaster from the lathe and the plan to put up 3/4" thick sheets. There will be a small gap around all trim but hopefully it won't be too noticeable. We sanded it really good, put a coat of primer/sealer over the entire thing, then put at least three coats of white enamel over that. It comes out very smooth to the touch. You'd never know it was supposed to go on the outside of the house!
Just passing on what we've learned. Thank you for sharing your beadboard picture and ideas. We did put the beadboard planks on the sides of the cabinets and island in the kitchen. It just looks so pretty. We are discussing now if we want to do the walls in beadboard, too. Thank you for sharing with us! I'll try to put up some pictures.
Hugs, PattiPattipaintinpatti.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2707732077149679290.post-61529694785720483472007-03-12T12:03:00.000-05:002007-03-12T12:03:00.000-05:00Oh, I adore beadboard...had some in my old house, ...Oh, I adore beadboard...had some in my old house, but not this one. The guy at Home Depot tried to talk us out of it because it's more work (sanding, priming, nailing) but that's what I want and I'm sticking with it, lol!

Martha- the tooth is still intact, hehe. We just leave 'em in until they fall out on there own, lol. I think I've pulled one tooth before (and I have 3 kids!) and it produced such a nauseating feeling for both me and my daughter both!Twice Rememberedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05563623309334980893noreply@blogger.com
