Cottage Kitchen Design Scheme
I know. Two posts in a day. I got the idea to make this design "scrapbook" page for our kitchen from Jessica at Westinmoreland House. Thanks, Jessica! It's helpful for me to see how all the pieces fit together and hopefully helpful to others who may be looking for resources. Keep in mind that colors on computer screens aren't really accurate (they are move vivid in reality), but you get an idea anyway. We officially have in our possession all our elements (and have ordered the ceiling planks and cabinet hardware)...it took us about a year to collect everything one piece at a time. Working on a budget! C'est la vie, eh?

YAY!!! I'm so glad you made one! I love the use of the soft and vivid colors you have! I saw the Cherry in person at Lowe's and LOVED it!
I had wondered what kind of faucet you were going to be going with! We have chosen the same brand! The one I am keeping an eye out for is from the Heritage Collection. Its a three hole with sprayer so that works with my sink better (I need to update my scrapbook page). I dont think I can spend 300 on it, so I am keeping an eye out for cheaper hehe! I found my bathroom sink faucet from Dynasty Hardware for 60.00 instead of the 120.00 it was going for, and found it on ebay!
Anyway I love the page you made and its so great to see what you have in mind for the lighting and the countertop (was wondering about that one too)!
Look forward to more! Ta Ta!
Hey Jessica! I'm glad you like the "scrapbook page"! Thanks for inspiring me!
I love the faucet you chose, too! Our tastes are so similar! We bought our faucet off Ebay. It was new and I think we paid a good price for it. It's been so long now and I don't remember how much. It was somewhere between $100 and $150 I'm sure (or else Jeff would have choked, lol!)
Laminate wasn't really my first choice, but I knew I didn't want tile..we had it in our bathroom it's so hard to keep the grout clean. We also didn't want to(and couldn't) spend the money for something nicer like granite, plus I'm too worried about maintaining it - I'm a very messy cook! I think it would be so cool to have wood countertops (protected with lots of of poly, of course)...but hubs still worries about them getting wet. Maybe someday we'll look into soapstone...
Absolutely gorgeous. I love everything you've chose. They blend and compliment each other so beautifully! :)
Thanks, Bev! I hope it all looks as good installed as I think it looks on "paper"!
