More Hardwood Floor Installation This Weekend

Today we will be:

{A} Napping like our 14 year old elderly Cara Bella?
or
{B} Making a big stack of hardwood flooring disappear

Oh, how I wish it were A, if only for a little while!

But on the bright side, our girls will finally be getting their new floor. As I mentioned earlier this week, we'll be covering up their painted subfloor.

They tell me they're going to miss it...and in a way, so will I:)

Have a great weekend everyone!

{I'll be catching up on emails and questions when the dust finally settles here soon! Thank you so much for writing and for visiting my little corner of the world!}

Awwe.. I bet the girls are going to miss their floors! But the warmth of wood and the textures.. they'll soon love what will be!

I can't wait to see.. have a great adventure this weekend (you're getting 'nailed' for valentines day weekend.. heehee.. only teasing there.)

Be safe please, we want no one stepping on nails or getting slivers.

with love,

Olivia

I say you will be entitled to that nap after putting down all that floor! Be sure to sneak one in there somewhere. Good luck- it will be worth all the aches and pains!

I'm going to miss it too. Those are the prettiest subfloors I've ever seen. The new floor is going to look great too. Can't wait to see it! (After a nice long nap right?!)

I am sure they will miss their floors...they are beautiful! I know the feeling...we have finished our Master Bedroom and Closet, our Upstairs Hallway, and one Daughter's Bedroom...One Daughter's Bedroom and TV room to go! I can't wait to be finished.

Wouldn't it be funny if 75 years from now someone is blogging and says "We pulled up that horrible wood floor and found THIS beautiful floor! [Picture of your lovely painted subfloors] I can't believe they covered it up!"

I can see why the girls would be sad to see it go, it looks so lovely! But the hardwoods will be a welcomed change as well, I'm sure!

I've visited your blog before, but I don't think I've ever left a comment. I would love to do hardwood floor in my upstairs! You have a lovely home! Hope you don't mind me stopping by.

Those white chocolate cookies look sooo yummy!

I love hardwood floors but, you should do a post on how you did that subfloor. Very, very, cute! Good luck on a big project, no naps for you.

What a great way to dress up a sub floor while it waits to be covered. Lucky for your girls to have such a talented mom!

Oh, I love the painted floor! And Fairfield is so right...

But yes, the wood floor will "grow" with the girls...

Show us the after shots.
