What a great quote. I love it.
What a great quote. I am just glad I don't have to cook in that narrow kitchen.
Just amazeses me as to what women wore in the early 1900's until the mid 1920's.. and that kitchen.. wow.. I'd say the wife didn't prepare a meal there to often, more like the paid help. YIKES.
Kim.. great quote for today!!
with love,
Olivia
Kim,
I actually have this quote printed out and framed (using your 'freeze frame' post idea) hanging on my fridge along with vintage photos of our mothers and grandmothers in their kitchens. One of the photographs looks much like the one you have posted.

Just popped over from the Fairfiled House. I've loved what I've seen so far.....great to 'meet' you!
Beautiful photo!
The one thing that pops into my mind...back then there was no central air conditioning...while cooking during cold weather was probably not an issue...I look at the clothing, the one window and think hmmmm have we defined somethin's cooking in the kitchen and it ain't just dinner.
Love the photo!
Sandy
