Faux Cupcakes and Signs and Shopping - Oh My!

It makes my heart so happy to know that I've finally reached my long time goal of opening an online shop of my own - a little place for my creations to temporarily reside until they find a forever home. She Could Fly, my new shop, has been so much fun to work on and care for and I'd like to thank all my new customers for taking the time and interest to stop by and see what I have to offer! I wanted to let those of you who have asked know that I have started stocking my realistic faux desserts and I will continue making various kinds at various price points {cupcakes, cookies, candies} along with my painted signs. You can look for vintage items in the future as well. If you haven't stopped by in a bit, please take a moment to check out She Could Fly, and from now until November 29th, use coupon code SHECOULDFLYSALE1 to receive a 20% discount off everything. Don't worry - you don't have to worry about me always blogging about my new 'baby', but I do know that many of you have shopping in mind for the weekend so I thought this would be a good time to tell you about my sale and show you what I've been working on. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Have a wonderful and safe weekend, everyone! {And can you believe that it is nearly December already?!}

P.S. Look at this cherry pie my daughter made this week! It wasn't yet baked in this photo, but the finished product was delicious! I shy away from pies because the making the crust part scares me, but I found this simple, old-fashioned crust recipe that received very high ratings on AllRecipes.com and it was perfect! It makes enough for two pies or one pie with a top crust. If an eleven year old can do it, I believe I can, too, don't you?!

Kim,

I received my "Bliss" cupcake this morning! It is perfection; such attention to detail. I am in awe of your many talents and so happy that you have decided to set up shop so we can all have a charming piece of The Twice Remembered Cottage in our homes!

Your Friend,
Deborah

Be still my heart -- is this Lou's first pie?!?

As lovely as all your confections are (and they are quite lovely indeed, as I am wishing the perfectly ruffled, snow-frosted vanilla cupcake could be eaten!), I hold a soft place for layers of tenderly tucked and folded dough.

She may not yet realize the grand love affair she has begun. ; )

Hello Kim,
I visited your blog today. Your blog is so pretty and cheerful, and you have many creative ideas. I was reading your interests, and I think it is wonderful that you care for the elderly. I love chocolate too, and the color RED. When I was scrolling down, I noticed the cupcake with the red rose, and it made my heart sing, as our blog is called Red Rose Alley. Me and my daughters started the blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is filled with beauty, and it made me leave here tonight with a smile. I hope to hear from you, and have a lovely evening.

What gorgeous blog! Ive got a cottage in the Swedish forest that we're renovating, it's taking its time since we've got no electricity or water but who needs it when you've got candles and a lake down the road :)

HI, Kim! Happy New year, my friend. I hope things are going well for you. What fun to get to see Layla & spend some time with her, I know you both enjoyed that. Maybe one of these days, we will get together again. I'd love to come back to Nashville and hang out again!

WOW!!! I bet you get that a lot! I could get lost in your blog for hours. It is that special, but you don't need me to tell you that. I'm follower # 1936. The numbers say exactly how wonderful your space is, that many followers are not wrong.
Now I know you don't have the time to check everyone out but I would still like to invite you over for a visit and hopefully you'll like my space and want to follow me, too. I'm just a grandma, that wears a lot of different hats: artist, photographer, paper crafter, musician, etc. Looking forward to becoming a devoted follower to your tremendous blog, Connie :)
