30 Day Cottage Kitchen Cabinet Makeover Challenge
Plugging away here still. Painting, painting, painting....and more painting. These kitchen cabinets may very well be the death of me:-O
I wanted to post this yesterday, but I was too busy (what else?) painting, but I've given myself a deadline to get this cabinet project finished up. By June 1st (of this year, not next) my goal is to be finished with the kitchen cabinets entirely. That means cabinets will be painted, distressed, waxed, shelves installed and lined, doors and handles put back on, the whole sha-bang.
For the rest of the month, I'll post my daily progress. It's won't be exciting, lol, but it will be progress none-the-less.
Yesterday, I added the last layer of basecoat to the insides of the cabinets. That's FINISHED except for the bottom corner cabinet...hubs needs to uninstall the lazy susan before I can paint in there.
Here are a few shots of the basecoat color, "Homestead Resort Parlor Taupe" (American Tradition) applied to both the insides and outsides of our cabinets. I posted the 'before' photo for comparison... (click to enlarge):

Moulding and basecoat added:
I put the basecoat on the backs of four doors and also cleaned, sanded, and put the first coat of primer on the remaining six shelves.
Allllll righty then...tonight I'll post today's progress. Better get hoppin'!
