Cottage of the Month!
It's late, but I wanted to quickly share with you a great resource for all of you cottage lovers out there. Thanks to Alison at Brocante Home, I discovered a site called The Old Painted Cottage. The site owner, Jennifer, has a feature called Cottage of the Month where she adds reader submitted photos of a different cottage each month. The archive goes back to February 2006, so right now there are photos of eleven different charming cottages to inspire you. Go have a looksee and be sure to bookmark as I know you'll want to go back and see a new cottage every month.
By the way, be sure to check out Jennifer's blog and the rest of her lovely site:)

Thank you for the site. Love those homes.
Hey Kim, I'm having backsplash dilemma's myself. My kitchen is traditional/1950's style and I'm stuck because my floor is black and white tile, my cabinets are pale pearl glazed maple and my countertops are granite. The hodgepodge decor really suits me but it leaves too many options open for the backsplash. I thought about stainles steel but that SO doesnt work w/ the speckled gold granite. Any ideas?
Oh I was there and had the Best time looking at all the treasures!! A MUST for all to view for sure! :)NG
I love that site and just recently discovered it myself! I will be spending more time there looking at those cottages later. Jen
Isn't it wonderful? By the way, you *can* comment on her blog - you just have to click the title of her posts. I've emailed her because I didn't know I could comment and I think she may be working on trying to get the comment link to show on the main page.
Ashley, send me some pics! Your kitchen sounds really cool! Just an initial thought...have you ever thought a glass tile backsplash. Textured glass backsplashes were popular in the 50's...I'll see if I can find some pis for you:) (((Hugs)))
I`ve been ejoying your blog and thanks for the link. I also love looking at old cottages and their insides :)
