Inexpensive Curtains from Sheets

D id you know that...

Simple white cotton sheets...

Make some of the prettiest curtains?

Here I've used a couple of full size flat sheets per rod for a full,Simple white cotton sheets... billowing look. So that I wouldn't have too much puddling at the bottom, I just folded over the extra length at the top and clipped them into place with curtain clip rings. I washed and dried my sheets first and hung them without ironing {I like the slightly wrinkled look but the wrinkles do eventually fall out on their own...}

I may live in a tumble down house, but that doesn't mean my windows have to look like I do!
___________________________

Thanks again to everyone that participated yesterday's Make Your Monday! We had another wonderful turnout! I'll post highlights later in the week and as usual, it's going to be hard to choose just a few!

Now for that "important announcement" concerning future Make Your Mondays: I said last month that I would be continuing MYM events through October and then I would be taking a break from it until sometime after the beginning of the new year. I have decided instead to go ahead and take a break from hosting any Make Your Monday events beginning in October. I have a few important personal reasons why I feel this is necessary. I hope to use my extra time and energy to focus on finishing the kitchen and my studio this winter. I hope you understand. Please take advantage of all the other wonderful weekly link events held on other sites. If you would like to share links to other link parties that you enjoy, please feel free to do so in the comments below. I've had a lot of fun with this over the last couple of months and I hope you have, too! There is a lot of inspiring creativity out there and I'm honored that you've taken the time to share your projects here at Twice Remembered. Thank you!

Those sheet curtains look fabulous. Look how cute Ruby Red looks on the back of the couch...awwww. My two cats and one of my poodles take turns swapping positions on the backs of our couch and love seat. It must be the BEST view in the house!!!

Very nice! I like the way you clipped them at the top ~ they look like a cuff-top drape.

First of all, I'm loving that vacuum quote, LOL! :)

Gorgeous photos of the white sheet curtains. I don't know what curtain clips are...google is my next stop!

Also, I am having my first giveaway if you're interested:

They look absolutely wonderful.

I have used sheets also ... we put them in our main bath as shower curtains draperies & in the windows also. Love that idea. I got annoyed with a less than helpful clerk at Boscov's dept store one day & left heading over to Target where I found the sheets with the EXACT design I desired ... I can never 'thank' that less than nice clerk enough.

Have a beautiful autumn week. TTFN ~Marydon

Those are fabulous...I may try that in my dining room, I have never been completely thrilled that my curtains don't hit the floor all the way.

I have seen sheets used before & am happy you showed the idea:) Sheets are a lil thicker to use sometimes, help with the lighting sometimes depending on the material & have you ever noticed if you can't find the fabric needed you sometimes find it in a sheet wishing it was in the fabric section? Fabulous idea to show & thanks so much for sharing!:)

Your curtains look wonderful! I love how they turned out, and how full they are on the top and how they billow on the floor. I bought some full sized sheets a while back and they are still waiting to be sewed into curtains for our living room and such. I can't seem to get everything done! :)

I hope you are having a great week! :)

Your sheet curtains look gorgeous and I just love the picture of the doxie looking out the window...so sweet. I have used sheets to make curtains but they've never looked as beautiful as yours do. It's been a while - I may have to give it another shot.

I've enjoyed the Make Your Monday party - thank you so much for hosting. I do have a Fall Festival party running through Oct. and a Show & Tell surprise party with different themes that pops up unplanned on occasion.

I look forward to your upcoming projects! Good luck!

I would have never have guessed that those curtains were made from sheets. The way you draped them with the curtain rings makes them look like the real thing. Great job!
