Winter Landing Places
I am excessively fond of a cottage; there is always so much comfort, so much elegance about them. And I protest, if I had any money to spare, I should buy a little land and build one myself, within a short distance of London, where I might drive myself down at any time, and collect a few friends about me and be happy. I advise everybody who is going to build, to build a cottage. - Jane Austen
When you're always shuffling things around because of a cottage transformation in progress, sometimes, by chance, things seem to land "prettily" on any convenient available surface...
...and some things are quite purposely put in their own special spot for a little extra cottage charm {or for a winter break cupcake party}...
But when you have children that are home on Snow Day #3, there are other things that also land on any convenient available surface...but not quite so prettily.
You too?

Lovely pictures, I love the cupcake banner! We don't have the problem with winter gear piling up here in Arizona!
Oh yes, me too!
Beautiful photos. I love where everything has landed!
God Bless,
Kathleen
Kim,
I'm inviting you to visit the Fairfield House. Feel free to make a pretty "mess!"
Beautiful photographs; I especially like the first one.
Your Friend,
Deborah
lol. Yep. Me too. :)
Mine usually throw their snowy clothes on my radiators to dry. After the third trip out we are out of radiator space!!! Thanks for sharing.

Great photos. The banner is adorable. We would need to have snow up to our windows to get a snow day here. We have had over 30cm (over a foot) since Friday and it was business as usual.
I love those accidental landings that turn out to be so right. It's as if your creative muse is working for you when you didn't even know she was there. The little chair I have with books and a plant piled on it was a " happy landing" spot from something we were doing in the living room- but I liked it so much- they stayed. As for the kiddos, I am so there right now too- although the little boots by the front door are kinda cute!
It's good to see there are others with their sweet little messes by the doors {or on the radiators!} Michelle, that's neat about your chair with the stack of books...love those happy little accidents! Ha! Thanks for the invitation, Deborah!
So pretty.
I can relate to that last picture!
