More Beautiful Cottage Kitchens to Inspire You
While work continues on my cottage kitchen, I thought I'd share some inspirational photos of other beautiful cottage style kitchens. If you're like me and don't have a big budget, you can still borrow many cottage ideas from kitchens like these, like beadboard walls or backsplashes, painted floors, generous use of color (or white!), inexpensive flea market or yardsale finds, simple and beautiful dishware, pottery, and textiles...the possibilities are endless!

Hi Kim:
A comment and a question. The comment: Love your blog and what you're doing, keep it up! The question: What's the difference between Cottage style and Country style?
Hello there! From what I read, cottage style originated in the European and American countryside, so there is a lot of country flavor in cottage style. There are also different types of cottage style, like beach cottage, farmhouse cottage, romantic cottage, English cottage, and so on, and the degree of country flavor may vary a bit with each of these types. I lean toward Farmhouse Cottage and love the country feel of that particular cottage style.
I subscribe to Cottage Living magazine and I'm even seeing a lot of cottage homes that don't seem country at all - but are more...modern inspired. I personally have a hard time seeing them as "cottage" but, to each their own, I suppose!
Good question! Thanks for dropping by!
Love that comment by Alfred Newman- haha so true!
Ok here it is-
We are living in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavors and furniture polish is made from real lemons. ~Alfred E. Newman
