Vacation {or "Home Alone"?}

on't worry, sweet little Ginger - we'll be back soon. You wouldn't like the roller coasters anyway. Our good friend will be taking excellent care of you and your feather and fur sisters. There will be lots of cuddles, head scratches and kisses for the three of you when we get back, ok?

Oh Ginger, you're so beautiful! Mom will be back. Soon you'll see her walking up to the door. Like she said, lots of hugs and kisses upon her return. Have fun, Mom. This little feather baby awaits and will greet you with love.

Have a wondeful time. I love the way you shot your pictures. They have that vintage fading around them.

Thank you for your sweet comments on my Blog. I will be posting on Tuesday my Studio renovation and my Pillows that will be in Romantic Homes magazine, so if you get a chance come back for a visit!

Have a great weekend,
Aimee

Kim oh my goodness! We have the identical cockatiel you have for almost ten years now. Our guy is named Lloyd and shares a room with our big kitty Chestnut. They are best buds. What gorgeous photos your took of Ginger.

Oh, TOO cute! This made me a bit sad, it reminds me of my Cockatiel, Fred. He was so sweet. He was loud at times. I love the quote at the top of this post! SO true. Mom and dad told me never to marry anyone that doesn't like animals, LOL

I'm glad you all liked seeing my sweet baby Ginger. I tell ya, there's is nothing like little bird snuggles - really!

Melissa, how neat about your Lloyd and your cat being best buddies - that's just precious! How does that work?! I'm sure he's spoiled rotten like ours are! You'll have to post about him sometime...I'd love to see photos:)

Pony, I'm glad you were able to enjoy a bond with a cockatiel as well. I'm sorry you no longer have him:( We literally LOST a cockatiel last year, our Buddy. Hubs didn't know that Buddy was on his shoulder and walked right outside. Little Buddy just flew up, up, up and we weren't able to catch him and he eventually flew out of site. We searched for him forever in all areas of our town, put out flyers and ads, the works. A couple of folks did find cockatiels about the same time and we were sure one of them HAD to be our Buddy, but they weren't. We adopted them anyway {the people that found them didn't know anything about birds and were unable to find their owners}. So now we have 2 cockatiels named Sunny - and Ginger! Bittersweet in that our Buddy was lost but we were able to provide a home to two other lost cockatiels. Helped heal our broken hearts a little faster, too. We're hoping someone found Buddy and took him in as we did these two:)

Oh what a pretty yellow on the cockatiel. I have one that my sister no longer wanted a long time ago and the birdies name is Cori, and she just keeps on living. I notice on your comment you had lost a bird, it might be a good idea to have their wings clipped. Even with that you still need to be careful, they have the tendency to still fly somewhat. Other birds you don't have to worry so much.

Have a Wonderful Day-
