Blog Love: The Lisa Freemont Pages
My hands have been busy lately, but not with paint and wood and home related projects - but with my keyboard. Isn't it interesting what fun we can have and what we can create with the tap of a few keys?
For the last couple of weeks, I've been working on a blog redesign for my friend, Ashley. Her blog is called The Lisa Freemont Pages and it's all about vintage hair, make-up, fashion, and movies. She is a vintage hair and makeup guru and you can find her fabulous tutorials on YouTube. She has over 8000 youtube subscribers now - she's just that good at what she does! We've known each other since we were young girls, for well over 20 years. When we were younger, I remember being in awe at her talent when she'd create lovely sketches of women in various gorgeous dresses - so obviously, this is a lifelong passion of hers! Her grandparents, one a fabulous artist and the other a beautiful and sassy woman who I adored, were neighbors of mine out in the country, and many were the days that I'd take a walk out to their house. This is how I met Ashley all those years ago..{at her grandparents house down the road...not talking on the phone in a little body suit, hehe!}
Feel free to hop on over to The Lisa Freemont Pages and say hi! I'll soon be putting some finishing touches on her site trying to correct a couple of Internet Explorer issues that's causing her {future} blogroll not to center - but except for that, her shiny new blog is complete! What do you think?
I get a lot of questions about blog customization and though I'm not an expert at it, in the future I'll be sharing some tips on how to spice up your own blog. In the meantime, feel free to send me your questions and I will try my best to help. You may not get an answer right away, because - whew - we're going to start laying hardwood flooring in two of our bedrooms on Friday...and next weekend as well...so I suspect Hubs won't be too thrilled to see me galavanting online when I should be helping. I hope you understand! At the moment, I'm suppose to be clearing out the bedroom but, you see, I'm too busy procrastinating. I can hear him now when he gets home and the room isn't clear.... "Luuuuuucccccyyyyy" You've got some 'splainin' to do!"
Yikes! I better get hopping!

I love Ashley's blog! So much fun. You did a beautiful job creating it. Clearly your design skills are not limited to houses!
You did an awesome job on her blog!! I like to mess around with my blog design as well.......I have a question for you. When I redid my blog last year, I tried (I think it was a code) to make the first letter big- like you do (Can't remember what you call that) - anyway, it would never work for me - any tips?
It looks fantastic! Wish I had your skills.

Nice job with her blog! It looks great!
Just had to stop by and tell you how nice it was to meet you tonight at the Blissdom party. I'm glad you came! :-)
Oh, that's eerie . . . I found her blog and YouTube pages via a completely different source a few nights ago! (via The Fedora Lounge). I love her makeup videos. I love her blog design, too.
Thanks, y'all! That IE issue is bugging me, lol, but hopefully I'll get it figured out. Things like that is why I don't do web design for a living anymore - I'm not the best at the coding end, argh!
Tidymom, I'm going to drop you an email!
Glenda, that is so *weird*! What a small cyber world, hehe!
Julia, it was absolutely an honor to meet you last night! You are just as sweet "offline" as you are on! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that I get to see you again at next years conference!
Looks AMAZING!!!
Job well done!! :)
