Questions about The Twice Remembered Cottage?

Good morning, everyone! I hope everyone is getting their weekend off to a great start! The weather here is absolutely gorgeous!
I know many of you have had lots of questions regarding The Twice Remembered Cottage paint colors, projects, and the like, so I thought it might be a good idea to resurrect the FAQ page that I created quite a while back that may answer some of them. I would like to work on adding even more information to the page but I guess I first need to know what you would like to know! So, send in your questions and I'll answer them for you! Keep in mind that I may post your question on my FAQ page but I'll only use your first initial. So if you have project questions or really, anything that you're curious about, let me know!
{For your convenience, you'll also find a permanent link to the FAQ page right over there in the right hand menu column ------>.}
Have a beautiful day, friends, and we'll talk again soon!

Kim,
I have two questions!
Considering the number one mistake that most people make in diy projects because they always underestimate the amount of time needed to complete a project; how much time did it take you to re-do your cabinets, start to finish?
Also, what is your favorite cupcake recipe?
Your Friend,
Deborah

Hi, Deborah! Great questions! It took us a long time for our cabinets and for a couple of reasons. The cabinets were our first carpentry project and we knew *nothing* about measuring and cutting trim. There was a lot of trial and error involved! So we took breaks when things got ugly and came back to it when we felt we were up to tackling it again. Also, we were trying to paint in the dead of a very hot and humid summer and each coat of paint required about a week to cure... and there were lots of coats of paint! It's been a while, but I believe the project took about 4 months or more... No kidding!
Cupcakes! I love cupcakes but so far my interest in them has mainly been in the area of decorating so I'll either buy plain ones from a bakery or use the box mix... {I am more of a made from scratch muffin girl SO FAR!} But I have saved lots of interesting recipes in the last few months that I would love to try soon...THIS one especially! Caramel Apple Cupcakes! http://pinterest.com/pin/222415077/
Thanks for your questions, Deborah, and welcome, Maria! So glad you're here! Have a wonderful day!
