Photos of a Beautiful Cottage Kitchen - What a Great Inspiration!
We're still chipping away at our cottage style kitchen remodel, but I just had to share some photos that I found of a kitchen that was beautifully remodeled in cottage style. This is *just* the look that I love. Unpretentious. Simple. Quaint. Cozy. Comfortable. Beautiful. It just reminds you of Grandma's Kitchen. The fine cabinetry in this kitchen was created by The Workshops of David T. Smith. Click on any of the photos in the slideshow below to get to his site (if you don't see a slideshow, just click on the photo to the left) and after looking through the cottage kitchen photos, spend some time perusing his site, especially the other historic looking kitchen styles he's done (More Kitchen Styles). His work (and the work of his team) is truly unbelievable. From their site:
The first kitchen that David designed and built was in his home that he built in 1971. Since that time, he has designed and built over 300 hand made kitchens all over the USA. Every single one was designed as a unique piece to function well and to look as though it was born with the house for which it was built. Nobody in the business has every blended the design/photographic/communication technology of the 21st century, with the style and integrity of 18th century furniture, or developed a kitchen that functions as well and is truly a hand made one of a kind piece of art. David is also adept at designing complementary architectural furniture pieces throughout a house that share the same personality of his kitchens.

We've always adored apron sinks! We almost got one but finally admitted that it wouldn't really "go" with the 50's/60's look-and-feel we've got going on.
Gorgeous pics!
Beautiful pics! Inspiration indeed! :)
