Dear Ruby Red,

D ear Ruby,

You've been part of our family for less than a month and I love you so much already. Do you feel at home here at our little Twice Remembered Cottage?

And are you ready to officially introduce yourself to everyone?

So that would be a "Yes", followed by a "No"? Ok...that's quite alright. I'll cover you up and let you get back to that nap.

Aw...you are very welcome!

Ruby is adorable. I wondered who that little doggy in the side window was. How old is she? Love how they get so comfortable and cozy.

Ruby is adorable. I just love dachshunds and how they love to sleep bundled up. I've got lots of pictures of my dog snuggled up on the couch that look very similar to yours of Ruby.

I've been lurking on your blog for the past few weeks, and Ruby finally brought me out of the woodwork. She is too cute! Seeing her pictures remind me so much of our Doxie, Sigmund, who passed away last year at the ripe old age of 14. He was the naughtiest dog in the world, and we miss him with all of our hearts.

I hope you and Ruby have a long and happy life together.

Awww... have you ever read the book "Noodle" with your children? It is one of my son's favorites, and your photo series reminded me of the ending, where Noodle (a dachshund who learns the importance of being comfortable in your own skin) sleepily tells the dog fairy that he doesn't want to change after all.

Aw, thank you! Amanda, I haven't read that book but it sounds like a great one. My youngest is a HUGE dog fan and her teacher wants parents to come in on Fridays to read books to the class...so that one would be perfect! I'll have to look for it! Also, I remember you from Nightmare on Elm...do you still blog? Would love to see how things have gone for you and your remodel:)

Thanks to ALL that have dropped in and said hello to our Ruby Two Shoes. {I can't resist calling her that!}
