100+ Inspiring Photos Celebrating RED!

f you've been following my blog for very long, you know of my deep love of the color red. People have asked me if it was a hard decision painting my kitchen cabinets red or if I'm tired of them now, and I always tell them that I just knew my cabinets had to be red. I don't even think I ever considered another color. Am I tired of the red cabinets yet? Not in the least! I still find myself standing and peering into our kitchen, thrilled still with the warm and cheery vibe the red paint produces. I think I'm determined now to have this vibrant color in every room of our house in one form or another. I may even paint our bed red {whenever we finally get to our dark, cave of a bedroom...}. Perhaps my laundry room will have a red diamond patterned floor, and my studio will definitely have one piece of red furniture. I think I've just about got hubs convinced to paint our exterior red when we are able to replace the current rickety old siding. Ahhh...it's so exciting to think about. What's not to love about red!

To celebrate my favorite color, I've scoured the web for some of the best red inspiration photos - 104 of them to be exact. I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I do!

I actually have this sweet ironing board cover from Hestia Houseworks Cottage Eclectic. It makes ironing super exciting! {not really, but maybe a little less boring}

...and lastly, a little something red from my house:)

{images from Coastal Living, Country Living, Martha Stewart, Woman's Day, Pottery Barn, Chic Shack, Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, Canadian House and Home, Elmira Stoveworks, Family Linens, and a few unknown sources}

Do you love red as much as I do? I'd love to know which photos are your favorite.

In the meantime, I'll be continuing to clean out cupboards and closets and all those fun things one does when fall is around the corner {and when one's mother will be staying over}. I'll be back to work on my studio later this month and will have more progress photos to share around that time. Next on the agenda is changing out the tile grout. Fun! I'll "see you" on Friday, though!

Edited to add this post to Julia's {of Hooked on Houses} Hooked on Friday's Event! Hooked on something? Visit it her site to share!

WOW! You have been a busy girl! While I usually shy away from red in my own home, I love people who use it. And I loved these photos. I am a green girl. my best friend is a red girl though. I would have to say that my favorite photo is the red painted floor on the corner staircase. All the photos are so inspiring though. Thanks so much for taking the time and sharing these!

I used to think I hated red, but I think you're changing my mind. I absolutely love the more pinkish reds with light blue! So maybe it's just the rusty reds I don't care for.

Great post~thanks!

This is a great group of inspiration pics for red. I love red as well. My absolute favorite is, of course, your gorgeous kitchen. I remember when you were working on the cabinets when you were visiting the HGTV boards regularly. I was amazed at the job you were doing. I'm still amazed at how gorgeous it is! I also love #26. The white kitchen with red window treatments and the black accessories is appealing to me. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Nanasewn, I haven't printed out the labels yet but had planned to for some small old bottles that I have. I'm not sure why they are a peachy color unless that's the color they are suppose to be? I would think the background would be white or off-white...hmmm....

I've been bugging hubby about painting the chairs red in our dining area...now I can show him what I mean.
